Today’s Shuttle Launch

Best of luck to the astronauts as they are off to their launch and a 12 day trip.

I wish I could have been there for the last launch of our shuttle.  It brings back all of those memories both glorious and difficult.  I find myself thinking a lot of JFK when we explore space.

The sad part is that we have no other space related plans.  No moon flights, no Mars flight, no new shuttle…nothing much really.  So disappointing.

But the launch was perfect and I am looking forward to the touchdown in 12 days!!

The space shuttle Atlantis lifted off Friday morning, marking the last blast-off of NASA’s 30-year shuttle program.
