Know those lucky cat statues often found in Chinese restaurants??  Look kind of like this Meneki Neko:

Well my mom loves them so a few years back when she turned maybe 75 or so I bought her a Lucky Cat T shirt from a Japanese site.  Looked all the same to me.

And to my mom.  She loved it and wore it shopping and to lunch with my sister.  She wondered why some young asian guys followed her around Macy’s.

Then while eating lunch my sister’s husband said to her “Why does your cat have one finger in the air?”

Well, sure nuff I had bought my mother a shirt with a lucky one-fingered-salute cat!!
