Del Paso And North Sacramento Neighborhood Carnival 2012

Del Paso and North Sacramento will host a five-day neighborhood carnival along Del Paso Boulevard Wednesday, April 4th thru Sunday, April 8th 2012.

When:                  Weekdays, 3 pm to 10 pm.

Weekends, 10 am to 11 pm.

Where:                Del Paso Boulevard and El Camino Avenues

Arts, theater and dining are part of the equation – several galleries and theater companies call the boulevard home – and the partnership has been working with city officials on plans to attract more businesses.

Events such as the carnival and others, including a “VegFest,” spotlighting vegetarian cuisine, hope to bring a different flavor to the boulevard.

The Rite Aid drug store parking lot at Del Paso Boulevard and El Camino Avenue is a midway for the next few days, with families trying their luck at the basketball hoop or riding the Ferris wheelon a spring-break Wednesday afternoon.It’s a fun getaway for families who live in the neighborhoods along Del Paso Boulevard. But residents here and the Del Paso Boulevard Partnership – the business group that has put this spring carnival together the last few years – see the event as more than a good time.
